This role encompasses everything an experienced head chef would expect to control, from preparing, planning and designing our varied and sumptuous dishes from our daily menus, to creating bespoke gourmet buffet and set menu options for functions and events. Controlling and managing food stock levels, influencing the choice of suppliers and operating daily ordering. This is a highly skilled and experience based role reporting directly to our General Manager, and comes with high levels of autonomy, responsibility and authority.
Supporting, working with, and reporting to the Head Chef, this role encompasses all aspects of daily life a busy kitchen. On busy shifts working directly under Head Chef’s supervision, but also comes with the freedom to work autonomously at other times, This role ideal for the aspiring Head Chef and skilled kitchen individuals
Trainee Chef / Kitchen Assistant
Chapter 12 believe in staff development and offer varied roles supporting the smooth operation of the production, delivery and service aspects in our busy Kitchen. Training is provided to those that require this, support is on hand for career development. A determination, drive and passion to produce consistently at the highest levels is the key requirement.
An invaluable member of the Kitchen team, the KP is relied on for a range of duties as directed by the senior member of the Kitchen on duty at the time. Again career progression is available and so this role often suits younger individuals looking to get a foot on the first rung of the ladder and experience life in a busy commercial kitchen
Senior Bar Person / Shift Leader
Chapter 12 is now synonymous with creating the finest array of high-class cocktails for many miles around. Whether ‘old favourites’ our own bespoke creations, quality of presentation, speed of delivery and style of service are key. Of course this role encompasses much more than cocktails, sound knowledge of wine, beer, coffee and tea service are also required, along with a passion to ensure the customers’ needs are attended to at all times. Working with the General and Assistant Managers as well as taking responsibility for individual shifts duties will also encompass some elements of stock control, decision-making and staff management.
Assisting and working under the direction of the shift leader or manager to ensure the customer needs are met, developing skills to create and deliver the menu of drinks Chapter 12 offer and ensuring that customer service levels, whilst maintaining a professional, friendly appearance all fall into this role.
Primarily delivering the food orders to table, this role comes with the expectation of high levels of customer care and attention, efficient time management skills and confident and friendly mannerisms. the position automatically comes with an expectation that assistance will be required in any busy aspect of the business, whether making drinks when the bar is under pressure or assisting in back of house duties the same levels of care are required.
